wow! Did you make this? I love the colors and I really love the leaves.. Its a unique piece. I have almost all the supplies to try and make something like this... except the leaves and the skills lol.. So I guess I can only admire it for now lol

Yup, that I did

The pattern came from a Bead and Button book, Best Necklaces; Glad you mention liking the leaves, I debated not putting them on there, the pattern called for glass bead leaves, but I got these from the store OMG! that has $1.50 accessories, they were earrings that I got for .50cents and took apart! I'm sure if you set out to make a piece like this that you very well could

All you have to do is keep taking your work apart again and again

Damn, I used to get that bead and button magazine... now you need to find more leaves, so you can make the fall version

... maybe copper colored leaves and gold, orange and rust beads (fall colors lol) But I love the greens/springtime best. I have a lot of experience talking my work apart numerous times.. In fact I think I have about 10 things.. mostly bracelets that are in my scrap bag to be taken apart for the beads and findings. I used to do jewelry a few years ago. I can't believe how much the silver beads and finding have gone up. I have quite a bit of silver, swarovski crystals, and swarovski pearls. My husband hates when I get a new hobby... I put a lot of money into it and never get what I spent back.. Just like my new photo manipulation obsession.. I have bought so much stuff and have not even used it.
But thanks to you and that beautiful necklace.. I may have to get my jewelry supplies out of my closet!

I really should subscribe to it

I actually have a set of silver leaves, going to have to stop back by that store though. Perhaps I'll think about another one, though I rarely repeat myself because I have far too many projects I want to do

I know all about the scrap bag, got one of those myself. I just got into jewelry making about a year and a half ago, things have definately progressed A LOT since then. I quite know the feeling about others disliking it when I get a new hobby, I tend to do the same thing though I rotate hobbies it seems. I did manage to get a little money back from selling a little simple jewelry (not much though!) Anyways, should you decide to take up jewelry making again, I'm pretty much offering up all of my patterns in exchange for more patterns
