Composed entirely of my own resources.

This scene depicts what I see to be a classic mountain family homestead, a small white clapboard house consisting of little more than four rooms (if you were lucky) and a barn and out buildings situated in a beautiful rolling field. My father mostly grew up in one of these places, such though that it was a log cabin. I've been told that when he was a little boy he could see the snow piling up outside through the crack under the door and his grandmother piled so many quilts on top of him that he could barely move.
